COMPANY PROFILE

On October 1, 2021, Air Water Performance Chemical Inc. was established by merging the Electronic Material Development Division of the Chemical Company of Air Water Inc. with Kawasaki Kasei Chemicals Ltd. and Daito Chemical Co., Ltd.

The technological development capabilities, production facilities, human resources, and customer bases of the three companies—accumulated over many years—were consolidated to embark on the first step toward the new challenge of performance chemicals centered on electronic materials, or in other words, as a performance chemical manufacturer.

Previously comprising four businesses—the core electronic materials business and those in basic chemicals, performance materials (including pharmaceutical and agricultural chemical intermediates), and food performance materials—all of the new company’s businesses remain based on relationships of trust and track records built together with customers in various fields in the past. Taking advantage of the merger with Air Water Bellpearl Inc., in April 2023 we launched a fifth enterprise, that of business innovation to offer proposals for new functional materials that will support people's abundant lifestyles. By conducting operations with these five businesses, we will aim for growth that anticipates changes in society.

Supporting this growth strategy are the diverse human resources and corporate culture unique to our company. I hope to establish a new corporate culture where young, mid-level, and experienced employees—regardless of gender or occupation—can share a variety of ideas and apply their abilities to the fullest. We will write the new history of Air Water Performance Chemical with every employee taking on challenges in all kinds of innovation.

In addition to the strengths in manufacturing developed by the four companies, Air Water Performance Chemical will use innovation capabilities that create new value to meet the wide range of customer needs and continue to contribute to society.
