Food performance materials with functions such as quality preservation, including longer shelf-life and anti-oxidation, are indispensable for growth of the food market and achievement of a sustainable society.
We began production of sodium acetate (anhydrous) for the first time in Japan in 1964, and as a pioneer in the field of food performance materials, we have maintained a stable supply system and contributed to the reduction of food loss by, for example, improving shelf-life. In addition, the synthetic technologies we have cultivated contribute to improved quality of food performance materials to meet the needs of our customers, and to the resolution of food chemistry issues that have gained attention during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While strengthening these technologies and production systems, we will continue the pursuit of an abundant dietary life and happiness.

Food Performance Materials
Our company’s food performance materials are used as shelf-life enhancers, acidulants and antioxidants. With the particle control technology we have developed over the years, we can meet the needs of a wide range of customers, with materials such as sodium acetate; with a product lineup in various particle sizes; Sanmi Ace™ powder seasoning with sharp acidity; CAL-FRESH™ calcium acetate combining bacteriostatic and tissue-strengthening functions; and adipic acid, which has a refreshing sourness and inhibits bacteria growth.
