Demonstrating its presence as the only domestic manufacturer of thermally expandable graphite (TEG), our carbon materials business produces Bellpearl®, a spherical phenolic resin that reduces environmental impact by means of our unique polymer control technology. Its applied product, BELLFINE® contributes to the realization of lithium-ion batteries that charge faster and have longer lives as well as to sodium-ion batteries with increased capacity.
Utilizing these unique products as a basis, we will propose new functional materials that contribute to enriching people’s lives in areas such as energy conservation, environmental protection, safety, and digital innovation.

Thermally Expandable Graphite (TEG) is a unique thermally expandable graphite made using patented technology by treating natural granular graphite with an interlayer compound to give it expansion properties under heat. It has the characteristic of expanding when heated, and has a wide range of applications inclining sealing parts materials and flame retardants.
