PERFORMANCE MATERIALS

Air Water Performance Chemical (AWPC)’s performance materials field has businesses deployed in quinones, polyester polyols, and chemical processing.
We are deepening relationships of trust with our customers by leveraging the respective strengths of each of our products. These include the quinone business, which deploys pharmaceutical and agrichemical intermediates and photosensitizers centered on naphthoquinone, our company being the only one in the world to be commercially producing and selling these products; our polyester business, which has been supported by the esterification technology and development capabilities that we have been nurturing over many years; and a chemical processing business, which has established an advanced production management and quality control system based on a wide range of liquid preparation and filling equipment and many years of experience in manufacturing photo processing chemicals.

Quinone Products

We have a lineup of intermediate raw materials used in a wide range of fields, including naphthoquinone, which is the base for various quinone derivatives, and SAQ™, a pulp digesting assistant used to efficiently extract raw materials for paper from wood.
